The Midland Woodworkers’ Association (MWA) is a forum for area woodworkers to learn and improve their skills in various aspects of woodworking. Keeping the skill of woodworking alive and helping people to grow and evolve their techniques and breadth of talent is a prime goal of the group. The skill level of the membership ranges from novice to expert.
The MWA was founded in 1984 with the following 5 key goals: 1. To provide and encourage all phases of woodworking. 2. To provide sources, information, materials, equipment, supplies and facilities for area woodworkers. 3. To facilitate communication and cooperation among area woodworkers. 4. To provide educational opportunities for those desiring to begin or improve their skill in various phases of woodworking. 5. To provide voluntary public services to the community.
We accomplish these goals through monthly meetings, field trips, guest speakers, and classes. We meet at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at Homer Township Hall, 522 North Homer Rd, Midland, MI. Whether you are new to woodworking or have been enjoying it for years, we would encourage you to come to one of our meetings. Visitors are always welcome.
Membership dues for the year are $20. For more information you can contact us at MWASecretary2016@gmail.com.
